23. FRONT AND REAR WHEEL HUB BEARING
GREASE
After disassembly, replace the oil seals and
apply hub grease to the lips.
After the bearing and wheel hub have been
cleaned and dried, apply hub grease generously
to the bearing inner race, and apply specified
quantity of hub grease in the wheel hub.
In case of the front wheel hub, apply hub grease
to the wheel cap inside.
24. CLUTCH SYSTEM
CLUTCH PEDAL PLAY
1. Make sure the engine is not running.
2. Make sure the parking brake is securely applied.
3. Make sure the gearshift lever is in the neutral
position.
4. To check clutch pedal play, use your finger to
press the clutch pedal to the point where resis-
tance is felt and measure the distance over
which the pedal has moved (play) . If the
degree of play is not as specified above, adjust-
ment is necessary.
Replacement intervals
Every 30,000 km (18,000 miles)
Inspection intervals
Every 5,000 km (3,000 miles)
NVI: 5,000 km (3,000 miles)
Clutch pedal play
(at center of pedal pad)
0.1 to 7 mm
