Move the vicinities of center bearing manually to
check for looseness of the bearing.

<4 points in total on both sides>
Recommended lubricant:
Chassis grease
NLGI No.1 (Li soap)
22. REAR AXLE DIFFERENTIAL GEAR OIL
Recommended oil:
Gear oil
API classification GL-5
SAE90 (Below 40°C) or 140 (Above 40°C)
SAE140 (countries in vicinity of Andes
mountains)
CAUTION
Use oil conforming to GL-5, SAE140 if the vehi-
cle is to be driven under heavy load conditions
as for example driving up long uphill grades.
Remember, however, that this oil is to be used
only when the temperature is higher than 10°C.
Quantity required:
These oil quantities are given only as guidelines. Be
sure to check the correct oil level by removing the
inspection plug as indicated below.
Inspection intervals
Every 50,000 km (30,000 miles)
Lubricating intervals
Every 5,000 km (3,000 miles)
NVI: 5,000 km (3,000 miles)
Inspection intervals Every 15,000 km (9,000 miles)
Replacement intervals Every 30,000 km (18,000 miles)
