CAUTION
Conduct inspection when the water temperature
is low, prior to starting the engine.
Note: Deposition may occur in the reserve tank but
this will not cause any problem.
(5) Adding coolant
1. Remove screw and step plate , then replen-
ish.
2. If the volume is lower than “LOW”, remove the
reservoir tank cap and replenish a mixture of
longlife coolant and soft water until the level
reaches “FULL”.
3. After replenishing, attach the cap securely,
and confirm that the hose attached to cap
has been inserted all the way to the tank bottom
then attach the step plate.
CAUTION
When using longlife coolant, rust inhibitor or
antifreeze in coolant, if you replenish water
alone, these additives will drop in concentra-
tion, causing antifreeze and rust inhibiting
actions to weaken.
Be sure to prepare a coolant mixture with addi-
tives in the same percentages as previously and
replenish this mixture only.
WARNING
• Replenish coolant at the reservoir tank. Do
not open the pressure cap on the engine
side.
• Open the pressure cap only after the water
temperature drops. If the cap is opened
while the water is hot, the water could
spurt out and cause burns.
