6. Disconnect all power and data cables from the backs of the CD ROM and hard
drives. Note the position and orientation of the connectors for reassembly.

7. If you are replacing the CD drive, disconnect the CD data cable connector from
the CPU module and discard the cable. The CD FRU kit contains a replacement
data cable.
8. Remove the drive bay from the chassis far enough to have free access to the left
side of the drive bay. Disconnect the connector from the front of the temperature
sensor through the top slot in the left side of the drive bay.

9. To continue with either hard drive, CD ROM drive, or temperature sensor
removal:

See Top hard drive on page 7-19.
See CD ROM drive on page 7-22.
See Temperature sensor on page 7-32.
10. Reverse the steps in this procedure to install the drive bay.
