4-4-4-2 Trackball Area
Different functions can be assigned to the trackball depending on the current active mode. The trackball
functions are organized in functional groups. The trackball functional groups are displayed in the lower
right corner of the screen. Each group can have one or more controls that can be selected using the
keys on the trackball area as described below. The Trackball area consist of:
The Trackball: used as a cursor control in acquisition mode, scrolling control in freeze and as a
selection tool (like a mouse cursor) in post-processing mode.
The Set keys (Left/Right): Perform the selected control or highlighted menu item.
The Trackball key (Upper/beneath): Toggles between the available trackball function assignments
displayed in the Status bar.

User defined trackball key (for R4 and later system): Toggles between the user defined trackball
function.
