THE PLATEN ASSEMBLY
The platen assembly.
The platen assembly consists of the following parts:

The platen. The platen is the rubber roller on which the material
and foil are pressed tightly by the printhead.

The sprockets. The teeth in the drive sprockets use the holes in the
material to transport the material through the GERBER EDGE.

The bail arms. The bail arms hold the material in contact with the
drive sprockets. The bail arm squeegees clean the area to be printed.
!
The out-of-vinyl sensor. The GERBER EDGE will not operate if
vinyl is not loaded or if it runs out of vinyl during a job.
