THE PRINTHEAD ASSEMBLY
The printhead assembly.
The printhead assembly consists of the following:

The printhead. The thermal printhead heats the foil and presses it
tightly against the platen.

The foil squeegee. The foil squeegee cleans the back of the foil in
the color cartridge.
!
The color cartridge. The color cartridge holds the roll of foil. The
color cartridge is held in the printhead assembly frame by three fixed
pins on the right and three spring-loaded cartridge pins on the left.

The cartridge pins. The cartridge pins lock the color cartridge into
the printhead assembly frame at the left.

The dancer bars. These bars are free moving and help provide
tension and prevent wrinkling the foil.
