PRIMARY COMPRESSOR NOT STARTING
If the Primary Compressor fails to start, the reason for the failure needs to be determined before attempting to condemn the
system. There are a few things that can cause this failure:
1. Check the compressor starting gear with power disconnected to the system.
a.  an ohm reading across the contactor contacts for both Primary Compressor contactors. Ensure
that both sets of contacts on each contactor are engaging when the armature is pulled in. Ensure both contacts are
disengaging when the armature is not pulled in.
b. Remove the wires from the start and run capacitors to isolate them. With a Capacitance tester, test these for the correct
MFD or UF rating that is marked on the side of the component.
