Chapter 2: Operation via Front Panel Controls
SD-SDI ARC
The procedure for setting SD ARCs is slightly different than it is for
HD ARCs.
1. In the path Video Setup > Processing > ARC (SD-SDI Out) >
SD-ARC Insert, select the input (Composite, S-Video, CAV, SD1,
etc.) into which to insert the SD ARC.
The ARC is automatically inserted into the processing path of all
video output groups using this selection.
2. In the path Video Setup > Processing > ARC (SD-SDI Out) >
Viewing Modes, select one of the following existing options:
• User (custom setting)
•Anamorphic
• Letter Box
•Center Cut
• 14:9 Letter Box
• 21:9 Letter Box
• Default (Letter Box with HD input; Anamorphic with SD
input)
To create custom ARC settings, follow the path Video Setup >
Processing > ARC (SD-SDI Out), and make changes to these options:
• Advanced (SD Out)
• Variable (SD Out)
• Input Crop (SD Out)
ARC Button Shortcut
The ARC button provides quick access to the Variable ARC controls to
make custom settings.
• When the HD video processing block is currently selected, pressing
the ARC button takes you straight to Variable (SD Out)
• When the SD 1, SD 2 or Analog video proc amp block is currently
selected, pressing the ARC button takes you directly to Va ria ble
(HD Out).
