Chapter 2: Operation via Front Panel Controls
ARC (Aspect Ratio Converter)
When making an aspect ratio conversion, you can choose one of the
existing ARC viewing modes, or create your own custom settings. (To
make any type of aspect ratio conversion, your X75 must be equipped
with an HD submodule.)
Existing HD ARC viewing modes are shown in Figure 2-13 on page 34;
the SD ARC viewing modes are shown in Figure 2-14 on page 35;
You can save four custom settings presets in the path
Video Setup > Processing > ARC (SD-SDI Out) > Presets (SD
Out).
HD-SDI ARC
In the path Video Setup > Processing > ARC (HD-SDI Out) >
Viewing Modes, select one of the following existing options:
• User (custom setting)
• Anamorphic
• Pillar Box
•Middle Cut
• 14:9 Pillar Box
• 21:9 Letter Box
• Default (Anamorphic with HD input; Pillar Box with SD input)
To create a custom ARC setting, follow the path Video Setup >
Processing > ARC (HD-SDI Out), and make changes to these options:
• Advanced (HD Out)
• Variable (HD Out)
• Input Crop (HD Out)
The HD ARC is always available for HD outputs, unless HD Bypass is
enabled. See the X75HD/X75SD Installation and Operation Manual for
details.
