5 Mechanical installation
5.1 Important measures for installation
• Treat the transducer gently
• Use appropriate lifting tools
• The mounting surfaces (substructure and pressure plates) must
− maintain an evenness of 0.02 mm under all loading
− be free from grease and dust
• Do not overload the transducer, even temporarily e.g. through unevenly
distributed bearing loads
• During straightening work insert supporting bodies of the same height
(dummies) first if necessary.
WARNING
If there is a risk of breakage through overload on the transducer and
thus a risk to persons, additional safety measures are to be taken.
