SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Make sure the engine is turned “OFF”
before you begin any maintenance or
repair. This will help eliminate several
potential hazards:
* Carbon monoxide poisoning from
engine exhaust.
Be sure there is adequate ventilation
whenever you start the engine.
* Burns from hot parts.
Let the engine and exhaust system
cool before touching.
* Injury from moving parts.
Read the instructions before you begin
and make sure you have the tools and
skills required.
To prevent the scooter from falling
over, park it on a firm, level surface, on
the main stand.
Do not run the engine unless
instructed to do so.
Be sure that the rear brake is locked by
parking lever before running the
engine, while the scooter is parked on
the main stand. This will prevent the
rear wheel from rotating and avoid the
possibility of someone being injured
from contacting the wheel.
Remember that your Authorised Hero
MotoCorp workshop knows your scooter
best and is fully equipped to maintain and
repair it.
To reduce the possibility of a fire or
explosion, be careful when working
around petrol or batteries. Use only
nonflammable solvent, not petrol, to
clean parts. Keep cigarettes, sparks and
flames away from the battery and all
fuel-related parts.
To ensure best quality and reliability, it is
recommended to use Hero MotoCorp
genuine parts for repair and replacement.
