Used engine oil may cause skin
disease if repeatedly left in contact
with the skin for prolonged periods.
Although this is unlikely unless you
handle used oil on a daily basis,
it is still advisable to thoroughly
wash your hands with soap and
water as soon as possible after
handling used oil.
10. Start the engine and let it idle for 2-3
minutes. Stop the engine and ensure
that the oil level is at the upper level
mark on the oil level dipstick with
the scooter upright on flat level surface.
Ensure there are no oil leaks.
When running in very dusty conditions,
oil changes should be performed more
frequently than specified in the
maintenance schedule.

CAUTION
Engine oil quality is the chief factor
affecting engine service life. Replace and
top-up the engine oil as specified in the
maintenance schedule (pages 48 to 50).
Please dispose used engine oil in a
manner that is compatible with the
environment. We suggest you take it
in a sealed container to your local
recycling center or service station for
reclamation. Do not throw it in the
trash or pour it on the ground or down
a drain.
Recommended spark plug.

Never use a spark plug with an improper
heat range. Severe engine damage could
result.
1. Remove the center cover (page 32 ).
2. Disconnect the spark plug cap (1) f r o m
the spark plug.
3. Clean any dirt around the spark plug
base.
