simultaneously to avoid skidding of vehicle.
Front Rear
•
Check the rear mono shock absorber by
pushing hard downwards on rear grip while
the vehicle is not parked on stand. The
suspension action should be smooth and
there should be no oil leakage.
Rear mono shock absorber adjustment
Rear shock absorber adjustment can be made
according to the load/road conditions.
• In direction A: Softer
• In direction B: Stiffer

(1) Wear indicator groove
Rear brake
Check the wear indicator groove (1) in each
pad. If either pad is worn to the bottom of the
groove, replace both as a set. Visit your
Authorised Hero MotoCorp workshop for this
service.

Front and rear suspension inspection
• Check the front forks by locking the front
brake and pumping the front fork up and
down vigorously. The suspension action
should be smooth and there should be no oil
leakage.
SUSPENSION
NOTE
To adjust the rear mono shock absorber (1),
use the rear shock absorber adjustment tool
[Pin spanner (2) with handle (3)] available in
the tool kit.
