To determine which fan blanks need to be removed to install the additional fans, see "Fan population
guidelines (on page 80)."
7. Remove the fan blank.
8. Install the fan.
9. Connect the fan cable to the system board.
10. If removed, install the PCI riser cage ("Install the PCI riser cages" on page 27).
11. Install the air baffle (on page 29).
12. Install the access panel (on page 25).
13. Do one of the following:
o Slide the server into the rack.
o Install the server into the rack ("Installing the server into the rack" on page 35).
14. Power up the server (on page 20).
