6. Remove the heat sink (see Heat sink on page 49).
7. Remove the system board (see System board on page 62).
8. Remove the transfer board cable (see Transfer board cable on page 69).
Remove the transfer board:
1. Release the ZIF connector (1) the fingerprint reader cable is connected to, and then disconnect the
fingerprint reader cable from the transfer board.
2. Release the ZIF connector (2) the backlight cable is connected to, and then disconnect the
backlight cable from the transfer board.
3. Release the ZIF connector (3) the RGB cable is connected to, and then disconnect the RGB cable
from the transfer board.
4. Release the ZIF connector (4) the keyboard cable is connected to, and then disconnect the
keyboard cable from the transfer board.
5. Release the ZIF connector (5) the touchpad cable is connected to, and then disconnect the
touchpad cable from the transfer board.
6. Detach the transfer board (6) from the computer. The transfer board is attached to the computer
with double-sided adhesive.
7. Remove the transfer board.
To install the transfer board, reverse the removal procedure.
Touchpad cable
To remove the touchpad cable, use this procedure and illustration.
NOTE: The touchpad cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number N10935-001.
Before removing the touchpad cable, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 40).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 40).
