Fans
To remove the fans, use this procedure and illustration.

Fan Kit (includes left and right fans, captive screws, and cables) N10924-001
Before removing the fans, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 40).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 40).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 46).
Remove the fans:
1. Release the webcam cable from the retention clips (1) that are built into the right fans.
2. Disconnect the fan cables (2) from the system board.
3. Loosen the four Phillips captive screws (3) that secure the fans to the computer.
4. Remove the fans (4).
To install the fans, reverse the removal procedure.
Heat sink
To remove the heat sink, use these procedures and illustrations.
