11. Install the air baffle (Installing the air baffle on page 41).
CAUTION:
To avoid damaging the connectors, always install the air baffle into the server before installing the
riser cages.
12. Install the primary PCIe riser cage (Installing the primary PCIe riser cage on page 38).
13. Install the butterfly PCIe riser cage (Installing a butterfly PCIe riser cage on page 80).
14. Install the access panel (Installing the access panel on page 37).
15. Install the server into the rack (Installing the server into the rack on page 53).
16. Connect each power cord to the server.
17. Connect each power cord to the power source.
18. Power up the server on page 32.
Memory options
IMPORTANT:
This server does not support mixing LRDIMMs and RDIMMs. Attempting to mix any combination of
these DIMMs can cause the server to halt during BIOS initialization. All memory installed in the server
must be of the same type.
