3.1.3 Mounting the S2008-EI on a Workbench
S2008-EI is a small device that can be placed on a workbench or tabletop. You are
recommended, however, to put rubber feet beneath the switch to protect it from being
rubbed.
3.2 Connection to the Power Supply of the S2008-EI
An external power supply is delivered accompanying S2008-EI. Its specifications are
as follows:
Input rated voltage: 100-240 V a.c., 50/60 Hz
Input maximum voltage: 90-264 V a.c., 50/60 Hz
Output voltage: 12 V d.c
Output current: 1 A
To connect the power supply, insert its input plug into the AC connector board and the
output end to the power input on the left rear of the switch.
3.3 Installation of the S2016-EI/S2403H-EI
3.3.1 Mounting the S2016-EI/S2403H-EI into a 19-Inch Rack
Follow these steps to mount your S2016-EI/S2403H-EI into a rack, a 19-inch
standard rack for example:
Step 1: Check the grounding and stability of the rack. Install a rack-mounting bracket
on each side of the switch chassis with screws.
Step 2: Place the switch on a shelf in the rack, and slide the switch into the rack along
the guides in the rack to an appropriate position.
Step 3: Insert screws through the brackets and into the front mounting posts of the
rack and tighten them, ensuring the switch is fixed securely.
