Some models of the S2700, S3700, S5700, and S6700 series switches can set up a stack using
service ports or stack cards.
l Stack card connection: Member switches are connected using dedicated stack cards and
stack cables.
l Service port connection: Member switches are connected using service ports, which are
configured as physical member ports and bound to logical stack ports. This connection
mode does not require stack cards.
