3.4 Testing the installation
As a part of the installation, selected settings for the
installation must be tested. The test is carried out
with Test in the Lawn coverage and Find charging
station menus.
It is recommended to turn off the ECO mode func-
tion before carrying out these tests.
3.4.1 Test nd the charging station
The Test function in the Find charging station menu
allows you to test how well the robotic lawnmower
docks safely with the charging station.
Test in the Find charging station menu can only be
used after the mower has calibrated the guide wires.
In other words, the mower must have left the charg-
ing station on at least one occasion, either in Auto
mode or in connection with the start-up sequence.
1. Select Installation - Find charging station -
Guide or Boundary wire - More - Test.
All guide wires and the boundary wire
clockwise and counterclockwise can be
tested separately.
2. Position the mower at least 5 meters from
the charging station and 3 meters from the
guide wire or boundary wire, depending
on which is being tested. Aim the mower
towards the wire to be tested.
3. Start the mower and check that it can follow
the wire and dock with the charging station.
If problems arise in conjunction with Test of Find
charging station, see 6.2.2 Symptoms when search-
ing on page 92
3.4.2 Test lawn coverage
The Test function in the Lawn coverage menu is
used to test if the mower can follow the guide wires
or the boundary wire at the selected corridor width
out from the charging station.
Test in the Lawn coverage menu can also be used
to calculate the distance from the charging station to
a remote area. The distance can then be entered in
the Lawn coverage settings.
Test in the Lawn coverage menu can only be used
after the mower has calibrated the guide wires. In
other words, the mower must have left the charging
station on at least one occasion, either in Auto mode
or in conjunction with the start-up sequence.
