5.5 Changing the top cover (450X)
1. Dismantle the body, see 5.2.1 Dismantling
the body on page 59.
2. Unscrew the 8 screws (Torx 20) from the
underside of the body.
3. Carefully snap the top cover loose from
the body.
4. Snap on the new top cover.
5. Fit the screws and then the body.
5.6 Replacing the charging strips
When the mower’s battery does not recharge this
may be due to worn charging strips in the mower.
The charging strips should be replaced when
blackened or if there is oxide. Also check the con-
tact strips in the charging station, see
5.26 Replacing the contact strips, charging station
on page 79.
1. Dismantle the body, see 5.2.1 Dismantling
the body on page 59.
2. Remove the screw (Torx 20) retaining the
holder with the charging strips underneath
the body.
3. Dismantle the holder.
4. Dismantle the charging strips with
associated charging cable.
5. Assemble the new charging strip with
associated charging cable.
6. Assemble the holder and tighten the
screw with the recommended tightening
torque. Refer to 5.28 Mounting screws on
page 80
7. Then assemble the body, see
5.2.6 Assembling the body on page 62
