6. Once the process is completed, you can see a message saying "Upgrade completed successfully" on the status bar and

the iLink 2012 window will show the current software status of the device.

3.5.4 iRIS Manual Upgrade Procedure

iLink 2012 also allows you to upgrade the software and firmware manually. Please go through the below steps to do a

manual upgrade of software and firmware for the iRIS.

1. Make sure the required upgrade files are available on the computer. Ideally these should be located in the default

deployment folders listed above in Section File Naming Conventions .

2. Connect to the iRIS using iLink 2012.

3. Click on the Manual Upgrade button under the Configuration tab.

4. If upgrading the firmware, first enable the “Upgrade Firmware” checkbox and select the new firmware file using the

firmware browse button.

5. Select the appropriate software file using the browse button.
