11. Load Applied to the Actuator
• Make sure the actuator will not receive a load exceeding the value specified in the catalog.
• This actuator can receive a load on its rod.
Use the actuator correctly by observing conditions [1] to [3] specified below:
[1] Load moment: M ≤ 120 (N-m) (Load moment M = mg x L
2
)
[2] Load torque: T ≤ 120 (N-m) (Load torque T = mg x L
1
) (g: Gravitational acceleration = 9.8)
[3]
* L
1
= Distance from the rod center to the work’s center of gravity
L
2
= Distance from the actuator mounting surface to the work’s center of gravity + 0.07
The rod can receive a load only when all of conditions [1] to [3] are satisfied. If any condition is not
satisfied, take an appropriate measure, such as providing an external guide, to prevent the rod from
receiving a load.
• Do not allow the rod to receive any load torque exceeding the value calculated above.
* Doing so may damage the internal parts of the actuator.
When tightening the nut at the tip of the rod, hold the rod using a monkey wrench, etc.
