5.3.11 Connecting the M-Bus (wired and wireless)
CALEC® STIII is equipped with an M-Bus interface allowing radio remote reading and connection the M-Bus
system.
Wired
u Disconnect the CALEC® ST III from the power
supply.
u Take off the front cover [}p.20].
u Connect M-Bus to terminals 24 and 25.
u Close the front cover [}p.20].
u Apply voltage.
Wireless
Settings - SMA connector
l Wireless M-Bus (Conform to EN 13757-4)
l 868Mhz – T1 mode
l OMS Version 4.0
l OMS address including serial number of the device
NOTICE
Material damage due to operation without antenna
Operation without an antenna can cause damage to the product.
u Make sure, the antenna is connected before operation.
u Disconnect the CALEC® ST III from the power
supply.
u Take off the front cover [}p.20].
u Connect the antenna (0db gain, 50Ω imped-
ance) to the SMA socket.
u Tighten the antenna with max. 5Nm.
u Close the front cover [}p.20].
u Place the device at the position with the best re-
ception.
u Supply voltage.
