What to do if there is no output image when switching on my J-TECH Switch?
    • T
      Tyler SparksAug 2, 2025
If the J-TECH Switch displays no output image when switching, verify that there is a signal at the input/output end using an oscilloscope or multimeter. Ensure the connection is secure. If the input source uses HDCP, enable HDCP compliance by sending the command /%[Y]/[X]:1 or change the HDCP compliance status in the GUI. Also, the display might not support the input resolution, so switch to another input source or enable the display to learn the EDID data of the input.

      weaveranthonyAug 7, 2025
If you cannot control your J-TECH Switch via the IR remote, replace the battery with a new one. If that doesn't work, the IR remote might be broken and needs to be sent to an authorized dealer for repair. Ensure you are within the effective range and pointing directly at the IR receiver. Also, verify that the IR receiver connected to the IR IN port has a carrier; if not, replace it with one that does.

    • K
      Kathryn MooreAug 22, 2025
If there is a blank screen on the display when switching with your J-TECH Switch, it may be that the display does not support the resolution of the video source, so try switching again. You can also manually manage the EDID data to make the resolution of the video source automatically compliant with the output resolution.

What to do if I cannot control the J-TECH Switch through the RS232 port?
    • J
      James GarciaAug 27, 2025
If you cannot control the J-TECH Switch by a control device (like a PC) through the RS232 port, first check the connection between the control device and the unit to ensure it is correct. Then, verify that you have entered the correct RS232 communication parameters: Baud rate: 9600; Data bit: 8; Stop bit: 1; Parity bit: none. If the issue persists, the RS232 port may be broken and needs checking by an authorized dealer.
