3. Designated use and function
3.3.4 Cutting system
In the cutting system the infeeded material gets chopped. The cutting system is a
compound of the rotating knife disk and the counter-knife. The material gets cut
between those two parts of the machine. Paddles on the knife disk transport the cut
material into the ejector.
3.3.5 Overload safety device (optional)
In case that the knife disk speed is dropping under a defined speed the overload safety
device stops the infeed. When the speed exceeds the switch-on-speed, the infeed is
turned on again automatically.
3.3.6 The exhaust chute
From the cutting system the chopped material gets into the exhaust chute. The exhaust
chute can be positioned so that the chopped material gets thrown in the required
direction. Also the throwing range is adjustable with the exhaust cap.
A folding exhaust chute is optionally available. In this case the exhaust chute must be
fold and secured before driving on public roads. Before starting the machine, the
foldable ejector must be set up. During operation of the machine, the foldable ejector
must not be folded in.
Danger of injuries and material damage
Do not point the exhaust chute in the direction of the operator, other persons or
damageable items e.g. windows, vehicles. When driving on public roads position the
exhaust chute in the direction of the infeed chute. If the exhaust chute is foldable, fold
and secure it into transport position.
