4. Working with the woodchipper
4.1 Mounting the machine onto a towing vehicle/tractor
4.1.1 Couple the trailer onto the towing vehicle (only for machines mounted
on trailer)
1. Couple the trailer to the towing vehicle. Check the coupling for right fit and the
latching of the safeguard.
2. Hook on the safety cable and undo the park brake of the trailer.
3. Lift up the support leg/wheel.
4. Connect the power connection between trailer and towing vehicle.
5. If existing connect the PTO to the tractor and machine (see label on the PTO).
Hook on the safety chain (watch out for the pivoting range of the PTO).
Enough addition safety covers need to be provided on the tractor and the
machine side.
6. If existing connect the hydraulic couplings.
Attention!
Check for the handbrake to be used when leaving the vehicle.
Attention!
Do not step between the vehicle and the machine when mounting/coupling the
machine to the vehicle! Danger due to pinch and shear points!
Attention!
Do not invert hydraulic couplings (flow and return) when connecting the hydraulic
couplings.
4.1.2 Mounting onto the three-point linkage (only for machines with three-
point linkage)
1. Connect the machine to the lower and upper links of the tractor. Pay attention
for the right category (ball, pockets etc.).
2. Connect the PTO to the tractor and machine (see label on the PTO). Hock on
the safety chain (watch out for the pivoting range of the PTO). Enough addition
safety covers need to be provided on the tractor and the machine side).
3. Connect the power cable between tractor and machine. When working with the
machine the light of the tractor must be switched on.
Attention!
Do not step between the tractor and the machine when mounting the machine.
Danger due to pinch and shear points!
Attention!
Use additional weights if necessary. Steerabality must be preserved.
