4. Working with the woodchipper
4.5 Before starting up the machine
Check the level of the hydraulic oil, refill if necessary. For motor machines: check the
fuel level and the details of the manufacture (see motor manual).
Check the lock of the ejector cap, safety covers, nuts and bolts for tight fit. Check the
machine and safety covers for damage. It is only allowed to start up the machine in
correct condition. Attention! Danger of injuries and damage of property!
Bring the infeed chute flap into work position. Check the position of the exhaust chute.
Attention it is possible that there are oddments in the machine that can be thrown out
when starting up the machine. Danger of injuries and damage of property!
Attention!
Check that there are no items inside the infeed chute when starting up the machine.
Attention!
For PTO machines: Check the right rotational speed of the PTO drive before starting
up the machine! Danger of injuries and machine damage!
4.6 The motor (optional)
4.6.1 Getting started
Observe the attached manual of the motor.
Attention!
It is only possible to start the motor when the ejector cap is closed and the motor
bracket is secured in working position.
4.6.1.1 Starting up the motor:
1. Put the throttle to ¼
2. Put in the key
- position 0 = off (no operating voltage)
3. Turn key clockwise
- position 1 = on (operating voltage, control lights on)
- position 2 = start (starter is activated)
4. Release the key when the motor has started up.
5. Wait for the motor to warm up
6. For chipping-mode put the throttle to highest.
Attention!
Do not start up the motor in closed buildings. Danger of toxication!
