6. Maintenance
6.5.1. Open/close the ejector cap
1. Only open the ejector cap when the motor is turn off and the key is pulled off.
2. Make sure that the knife disk does not move (visual check through slots in the
drive belt cover or at the PTO).
Attention! Knife disk can overrun!
3. Wear safety gloves – Danger of injuries!
4. Remove bolts of the ejector cap.
5. Fold over the ejector cap incl. the exhaust chute.
6. Closing in the inverted order.
6.5.2. Dismounting the cutting knives
1. Attach the provided knife disk lock to the holes for the ejector cap.
2. Bring the knife disk in knife changing position and secure it against accidental
moving while loosening the knives.
3. Remove the bolts of the knife and dismount the knife.
4. Change or re-sharp the knife.
6.5.3. Re-sharping the knives
The following table shows the dimensions and wear limit that apply when re-sharpening
the knives. Knives that underrun these minimum dimensions must be replaced by new
knives.
Attention!
Using knives that underrun the minimum dimensions can cause dangers for the
machine and the operator.
