Mount the cutting ring and union
nut correctly in the fitting.
Press the pipe all the way to the
bottom.
Turn the union nut until it
reaches its fixture point (when
the pipe cannot turn).
Tighten the union nut 180
degrees using a key.
Use 7 bar leak test on all:
• pipe joints
• fittings
• flanged joints
• welds
See instruction 0186.12:
‘7 bar leak detection’.
Mark all bolts with a yellow marker
when they are torqued.
• Joints with gaskets must always be cross-tightened.
• Moisten the joining surfaces on gaskets and O-rings with oil, and wipe them lightly so
that the surfaces are slightly greased.
• Oil for greasing of joining surfaces:
o Mobil Rarus 424 (part no. 6993.007)
o Vanguard 1000 (part no. 2031.075)
• Do not grease gaskets and O-rings with oil as it may damage the gasket/O-ring.
Grease the screws and bolts.
Rust-proof with:
MOLYKOTE(R) LONGTERM W2
8 Nm (M8 12.9) (Filter cartridge)
Note! Cross-tighten the bolts
1. Tighten by hand
2. 88 Nm
3. 176 Nm
Note! Cross-tighten in the last two steps
Westermeyer filter:
1. Tighten by hand
2. 23 Nm
3. 48 Nm
