Section 7 System Architecture
7.1 Overview
Workstations and gateways communicate over an Ethernet (TCP/IP) network. Gateways also communicate with other
panels and fire alarm networks and protective equipment. Each gateway relays Ethernet protocol messages from the
monitored equipment using the equipment’s native protocol to the workstation. An Intelligent Fire Integrator system
can support up to 200 gateways.
Example system architectures are described in the figures below.
