5.2 Removal, "removal from side" (o)
NOTICE The battery can be removed from either side
– Uncover the battery (see Section 3).
– Pull out the battery connector and place it on the battery.
– Close the battery cover.
– Pull out the battery holder (9).
– Pull the battery (8) sideways onto the battery changing station.
QwW Follow the instructions in the Battery Changing Station Operating Manual.
5.3 Installing the battery
The battery is installed in the reverse sequence.
QwW After refitting the battery, inspect all cable joints and plug connections for
visible damage.
On vehicles on which the battery is removed from the side, before restarting
the vehicle check that:
– the battery holder (9) has been inserted correctly.
NOTICE If the battery holder is not inserted correctly, the travel function will not be
enabled (o).
