13.6 Application table (recommendations/ reference values)
Prepare standard sample:
- If necessary, crush sample and spread evenly in the aluminum dish.
Prepare special samples:
- For sensitive samples or materials that are difficult to spread (e.g. mercury) a
glass fiber filter may be used.
- Spread sample evenly on glass fiber filter and cover with a second glass fiber
filter.
- The glass fiber filter may also be used as protection for materials that tend to
splash (each splash will falsify the final result).
