5. Set the fan speed control to the rec-
ommended position.
NOTE
If the maximum cooling is desired, set the
temperature control to the extreme left
position and set the air intake control to
the ~&s position; then set the fan speed
control to position 3.
CAUTION
When using the air conditioner while
driving up long hill or in heavy traffic,
watch the engine temperature gauge.
The air conditioner may cause engine
overheating. If the gauge indicate this,
turn the air conditioner off. (Refer to
overheating on page 5-3.)
WARNING!
Do not use the wq position during
cool operation in extremely humid
weather. The difference between
outside air and the windshield tem-
peratures could cause the out sur-
face of the windshield to fog up
and restrict or block your view.

1. Set the temperature control to the rec-
ommended position.
2. Set the air intake-control to the aay
position.
3. Set the airflow control to the @_ posi-
tion .
4. Set the fan speed control to the rec-
ommended position.
5. If dehumidified heating is desired, turn
on the air conditioner.
NOTE
For maximum defrosting, set the tempera-
ture control to the extreme right position
and set the fan speed control to position
3. If warm air is desired at the floor level,
set the airflow control to the gg - position.
