1. If call alert decoding call has been enabled on the radio, the radio automatically response to a call alert after
receiving it.
2. “Call alert…” and the caller’s alias/ID are displayed on the LCD screen.
3. The radio regularly gives off a tone, and green LED indicator light flashes.
4. You may call back the caller by pressing the PTT key to, or neglect this call alert by pressing any other key.
5.8.2 Initiating Call Alert
1. In the home interface, press the Menu key.
2. Select “Contact” by pressing the Up and Down keys.
3. Press the Menu/OK key.
4. Select “Contact List” by pressing the Up and Down keys.
5. Press the Menu/OK key.
6. Select a contact of individual calls by pressing the Up and Down keys.
7. Select “Call Alert”.
8. The contact’s alias or ID, and the indication of sending call alert are displayed on the LCD screen. The red
LED indicator is on. The radio is waiting for response from the target radio.
Note:
If the target radio responds, “Call alert succeeded” will be displayed on the sender radio, otherwise, “Call
alert failed” will be displayed.
