This function enables you to listen remotely to the voice and background tone of another radio. This is achieved
through turning on the microphone on the target radio without voice prompt or visible indication.
To use this function, the radio must be authorized beforehand.
To initiate remote monitoring, perform the followings.
1. In the home interface, press the Menu key.
2. Select “Management Function” by pressing the Up and Down keys.
3. Press the Menu/OK key.
4. Select “Remote Monitoring”.
5. Select a contact.
6. The contact’s alias or ID, and indication of remote monitoring initiation are displayed on the LCD
screen. The red LED indicator light is on. The radio is waiting for response from the target radio.
When a response is received, will be displayed, and the radio will start receiving audio signals from the
target radio until the preset duration is up. Then “Remote monitoring finished” will be displayed on the radio, and
the LED indicator is off.
If no response is received when the preset times of command sending have reached, “Request of remote mon
failed” will be displayed and the radio will exit sending mode.
Note:
While the radio is sending commands and waiting for response, you can terminate command resending and
quit by pressing the On/Off key.
