This appendix details the differences between the Kodak Scan Station Pro 550
Administration and Kodak Capture Pro Software as well as provides
procedures for creating and exporting job setups to the Scan Station Pro 550.
The Kodak Scan Station Pro 550 consists of Kodak Scan Station 520 running a
customized version of Kodak Capture Pro Software. The Kodak Scan Station
Pro 550 Administration is designed to only work with the Kodak Scan Station
Pro 550.
The system is supported by the Kodak Scan Station Pro 550 Administration
and the Kodak Scan Station Service tools. The Kodak Scan Station Pro 550
Administration is a subset of the functionality provided by the Kodak Capture
Pro Software. It runs on a separate PC and allows you to create and export
(package) job setups needed for day-to-day operations on the Scan Station
Pro 550.
The Kodak Scan Station Service tool runs on the Kodak Scan Station Pro 550
and allows you to configure and maintain the device.
NOTE: There is no flatbed support at this time.
Differences Following are the differences between Kodak Scan Station Pro 550
Administration and Kodak Capture Pro Software.
•The Kodak Scan Station 550 Administration does not support scanning.
• There is no auto-import functionality.
• You do not need to create a batch at startup.
• Menus and options that are not needed for a job setup are not displayed.
• Images and index data cannot be output.
• Allows you to enter index mode (for setting zoom zones) but index data
cannot be saved.
• Flags for turning on foreground processing and larger text are not available.
• Screen layout configurations are exported to the Scan Station Pro 550
during regular exports.
