12. OPERATION
CHECK FOR WATER AND SEDIMENT IN WATER SEPARATOR,
DRAIN WATER
The water separator separates water mixed in the fuel. If float @
is at or above red line 0, drain the water according to the following
procedure:
Loosen drain plug @ and drain the accumulated water until the
float reaches the bottom.
Tighten drain plug 0.

If the air is sucked into fuel line when draining and water, be sure
to bleed air in the same manner as for the fuel filter. See “24.6
EVERY 500 HOURS SERVICE”.

12.1.3 ADJUSTMENT BEFORE OPERATION
OPERATOR’S SEAT
A: Fore-and-aft adjustment
Move lever @ to right. After the seat is set to the desired
position, release the lever.
Adjustable distance: 160 mm (6.3 in) in 9 steps
Adjustment of reclining seat

Pull lever @ up. After the seat back is set to the optimum position
easy operation, release the lever.
Up-down adjustment of seat
When carrying out the adjustment, stop the engine and lock the
left and right work equipment control levers with the lock lever.
Up-down adjustment range: 110 mm (5 stages)
1. Turn knob @ to the left to loosen it, then pull up lever 0.
2. Align the pin hole in the mount base with the seat bracket pin
hole at the desired height, then return lever @ and insert pin 0.
Turn knob @ to the right to fix the seat in position.

ADJUSTMENT OF MONITOR PANEL ANGLE
Turn the monitor panel so that the operator can view the monitor
with ease. When adjusting the angle, the panel should be set to the
desired position using both hands. The panel is automatically locked
at that position.
