Installation
•Theunithasaninternalfanandrequiresfreeairowfromtherearandouttothesides.
Itisrecommendedthatventilationorairconditioningisprovidedinordertokeepthe
ambientoperatingtemperaturearound+20°C.Thebestlocationistypicallyinthe
instrumentroomoronthebridgemountedintoa19-inchrackwithgoodventilation
andresilientmounting.
•Itisrecommendedthattheareaaroundtheunitiskeptfreefromdustandstatic
electricity.
•Allconnectionstotheunitareontherearsideandavailablespaceforcable
connectionsandservicemustbeprovided.
4.3Cabinetinstallation
4.3.1Installationwithdeliveredcabinet
Thecabinetshouldbesecurelymounted.Drillingplanfortheresilientmountingsis
includedintheattacheddrawings.
Caution
Thecabinetmustbeconnectedtoagroundedoutlet.
Itisrecommendedthatthecablesattachedtotherearoftheunitshouldbelongenough
toaccommodateallservicefromthefront.
Thecabinetmustbemountedinsuchawaythattheminimumcablebends(ontherear
side)arenotexceeded.
FortheantennacablesitmaybenecessarytousetheshorttransitionRG-214cablein
ordertoroutethecablesproperlyintothecabinet.
4.3.2Installationwithoutdeliveredcabinet
Asystemdeliveredwithoutacabinetshallbemountedonattachmentrailsinastandard
19-inchrack.Minimumdepthoftherackis600mm.
Caution
Therackmustberesilientlymounted,otherwisethewarrantywillbevoid.
Therackshouldhaveairinletontopandbottomorventilationsplitsonthesides.The
ProcessingUnithasventilationonthesides.Forcedventilationmayberequiredifthe
cabinetcontainsseveralelectronicmodules.
Screenedcablesareconnectedtothebackoftheunit,directlyontherearpanelorona
connectorblockwithscreenterminals.Allcablesconnectedtotheunitmustbescreened.
Makesurethattheminimumantennacablebendsarenotexceeded.
