AsthesignalsinvolvedareinherentlyweekRFsignals,greatcareandattentionshould
betakenregardingtheselectionandinstallationoftheRFcablingandconnectionsmade.
AttenuationofGNSSsignalsshouldbeconsideredwhenselectingcabletype,assignal
losswilldictatemaximumlengths.Thenumberofconnectorsandothercomponents,
suchaslightningprotectiondevices,whichwillattenuatethesignal,shouldalsobe
takenintoaccount.
Themaximumlengthoftheantennacoaxialcablesis80metresforthecabletypes
normallysuppliedwiththesystem.Iflongercablesareneeded,anRFFiberOptical
Linkshouldbeused.
