oftheantennacabletothemainunit.
6ConnectthecabletotheProcessingUnit.Ashortinterconnectioncableisdelivered
inordertogetsecurecablerunsintothecabinet.

Theconstructionofthemountenablesroutingofthecableeitheralongtheinsideorthe
outsideofthemasttube.AnRG-214cableisusedfordistancesshorterthan50metres,
whilean½"superexcableisusedfordistanceslongerthan50metres.
Caution
IftheantennacableisattachedtotheProcessingUnit,donotattachthe
antennacabletotheantennawhentheunitisrunning.Iftheantennacable
isshort-circuitedwithPOWERON,theIALAbeaconreceiverwillbedamaged.
HowtoinstalltheIALAbeaconantenna
1AttachtheantennatoamasttubeorpolebyusingtheprovidedU-bolts.
2Attachtheantennacabletotheantenna.
3Wrapoutdoorcableconnectionswithwaterproofself-vulcanisingtape.Analternate
wayofwaterproongistouseheatshrinkhosewithglue.Thehoseshouldcover
thewholeconnectorandpartofthecable.
4Makesurethegroundstrapattheantennabaseisconnectedtoasuitableplace
ensuringgoodgrounding.Wheninstalled,theterminalsofthegroundstrap
shouldbesealedfrommoisturetopreventcorrosion.Paintorsiliconesealantis
recommendedforthis.
5Securethecabletothemasteveryonetothreemetreswithclampsorbands.
6Routetheconnectorattheotherendoftheantennacabletothemainunit.Connect
thecabletotheProcessingUnit.AshortRG-214cableisoftenneededinorderto
securecablerunsintothecabinet.Thiscableisincludedinthepackage.
