Copying a Document
Copy Features

Use the numeric keypad to enter the desired number of copies (from 1 to
99). The default is 1. Press
Start/Copy
to continue.

Use the numeric keypad to enter the desired reduction percentage (from
50 to 200). The default is 100%.

to begin the copy operation.
Copy Features
You can set the following options for copying documents:
Resolution
Contrast
Halftone
Auto Background
Long Documents
Collated Copies
These settings are also used when scanning a document to send it as a fax.
Resolution
The resolution for copying is always
Superfine
. When faxing a document, you
can set the resolution using the
Resolution
button.
You may wish to change the default resolution for faxing. See the "
Resolution
"
section on page 68 to set the resolution default for faxes:
Contrast
Documents can be copied or faxed with the normal contrast, light contrast or
dark contrast setting. For a normal document, set the contrast to Normal; for a
document with light, pencil or colored characters, select the Light setting; for a
document with dark characters, select the Dark setting.
You can change the contrast default and contrast threshold levels for copying
and faxing documents

You may want to change the contrast default.
