Sending a Fax

Broadcast Send
The machine allows you to transmit to an
unlimited
number of machines
without programming the destinations into a dial group. You can program
multiple entries in a broadcast send operation using a combination of
preprogrammed groups, keypad dial, one-touch, and speed dial.
When the machine begins transmitting the document, the LCD displays the
remote telephone number. If a number is busy, the machine continues dialing
the rest of the numbers before redialing the busy number.
Any special features stored with a phonebook entry are used when that
phonebook number is dialed in a group.

Load the documents face down in the document feeder.

If desired, select any special features for the operation.

Enter the first telephone number using one of the dialing methods. Press
Enter
.
If one-touch is used to dial the first number, you must disable automatic
start by pressing Enter within 3 seconds or by selecting the Cancel Auto
Start feature. See the "Pauses and other Dial Options" section on page 57.

Enter the next telephone number using any dialing method. Press
Enter
.

Perform the previous step to enter each additional telephone number.

When all numbers have been entered, press
Start
.

Group Dial Pause for Incoming Documents

By enabling this feature, you can make the machine pause during a broadcast
to receive any incoming documents. The pause is inserted after 4 consecutive
successful dials during a broadcast job.
