Sending a Fax

Cancel a Pending Broadcast or Group Transmission

Communication Features
The machine provides the following additional features for sending faxes:
Page Headers
Resolution, Contrast, and Halftone
Error Correction Mode (ECM)
Charge Codes
The contrast, resolution, and halftone options can be controlled by keys on the
control panel or set with user options. Disabling ECM, page header and
memory send features are set with menu options. Charge codes and dial
options can be entered in the telephone number.
Page Headers
When the machine sends a fax, it includes a header with the document. In
North America, to comply with FCC rules, the header must clearly identify the
company or person sending the fax including the local name and the telephone
number. See the "
Programming the Machine ID
" section on page 18.
The header includes a transmit page count up to 99 pages.
Resolution
FastAccess: M41
(Default = Standard)
When faxing a document, you can set the resolution using the
Resolution
button. For a normal document, set the
Resolution
to Standard; for a
document with fine details, set the resolution to Fine or Superfine.
