Phonebook
This chapter explains how to store numbers in the fax phonebook.
What is the Phonebook?
The phonebook is made up of 250 memory cells, each of which may be
programmed with an individual fax phone number or a fax group. The first 70
cells can be accessed by the one-touch keys on the front control panel. By
programming your most frequently accessed fax numbers into the first 70 cells
you can dial a number at the touch of a single button.
To access the other cells you can use the Speed Dial key to use either the
Choose by Index or Choose by Name method.
Choose by Index is used by pressing the Speed Dial button on the front control
panel until Choose by index
is displayed and then entering the cell number you
wish to use.
To use Choose by Name, press the Speed Dial key until Choose by name
is
displayed and then enter the first letter of the name you wish to use. You can
then toggle through all the names that start with that letter and select the name
of the intended recipient of your fax.

Since individual numbers and
roups are defined usin
the same set of cells,
you may wish to set aside a number of one-touch cells (01-70) for any
roups
you may wish to define. Otherwise, if you pro
ram cells 01 throu
h 70 with
individual numbers there will be no one-touch cells available for definin
a
roup. You can use
roups defined for cells 71-250 throu
h the speed-dial key.
