Tuning
Aswithallanaloginstruments,themonologue’scircuitrycandriovertime
duringperformanceduetochangesinenvironmentandtemperature.The
monologueprovidesanauto-tuning functionthatautomaticallytunesthein-
strument’sanalogcircuitsondemand,tocorrectforanyanalogdri.
Asyoucontinuetoplaythemonologueforawhilerightaeryou’veturned
iton,thepitchandtonemaygraduallydri.Ifthepitchdribecomesnotice-
able,usethestepsbelowtotunetheinstrument.Thiswillmanuallybringthe
monologuebackintotune.

Press the REC buon while holding down the SHIFT buon.
Tuningwillbegin,andthedisplaywillindicate“Tuning...”.
Thetuningwilltakeabout15seconds.
Duringtuning,youwilltemporarilybeunabletoplaythemonologue.
Microtuning function
Microtuningisamethodofchangingtheequaltemperamenttuningscalenor-
mallyusedonthekeyboardtoadierenttuning.
Themonologueincludesdierentpresetmicrotunings,andallowsyoutocre-
ateyourownmicrotunings.
Thereare12microtuningsavailableforediting.Sixofthesetuningsare“user
scales”,wherethepitchofanynoteonthekeyboardcanbechanged;andthe
remainingsixtuningsare“useroctaves”,wherethetuningsofeachkeyina
singleoctavecanbechanged,whichwillthenrepeatacrossthekeyboard.
