4.2 Keys
The following table gives you an overview of key op-
eration for the DM4. Additionally refer to the descrip-
tion of the individual operation steps in Chapter 5.
Key Description
c Switches instrument on and off
Selects CAL mode
m Selects Operation Mode/Functions (THK, 2-PT,
VEL, MIN, SPEC, l) after each other
u Sets values (increment or decrement) and
selects parameters (if activated by c);
d d u simultaneously: Sets resolution and unit
(c deactivated);
only with DM4 and DM4 DL:
Moving in the SPEC function
u Only with DM4 DL:
Sets the number of files in the Data Logger and
d selects the files (if activated by f);
selects measurement location and views the
stored value (if activated by y)
Key Description
w Only with DM4 and DM4 DL:
Activates / deactivates DUAL MULTI operation
mode (through-coating measurement)
Additional keys on the DM4 DL:
Key Description
f Sets the number of files in the Data Logger
(when the Data Logger is empty);
selects file (using d u)
y Access to the selected files in the Data Logger;
selects measurement location and views mea-
surement value (using d u)
r Deletes measurement values, files or the com-
plete memory of the Data Logger;
displays and stores inhibited measurement
value
s Stores data in the Data Logger;
transfers data to the PC or printer
