Documenting measurement values (DM4 DL only) Transferring data to a PC
7.2 Transferring data to a PC
You can transfer the stored measurement readings to
a PC.
The data is transferred in ASCII format. For data trans-
fer you will need a normal terminal program, such as
contained in Microsoft Windows. The data can then be
processed in word processing, database and spread-
sheet programs.
H Note:
User-friendly data transfer possibilities as well as sta-
tistic and analysis functions are offered by special
user-programs from Krautkrämer (e.g. GUS and MINI-
MAX). Further information can be obtained from
Krautkrämer or from your local Krautkrämer represen-
tative.
Connnecting a PC
The DM4 DL is switched off.
Connect the DM4 DL to the PC using the
Krautkrämer transfer cable TGDL/PC.
If necessary check the interface settings (refer to
Page 7-2).
Transferring data
Data transfer is made parallel to printer transfer. On
your screen you receive the same report format as
given for the printer. The adjustment possibilities are
also the same (language, file header, statistic).
Operation:
The DM4 DL is either in THK or DIF mode.
Press f.
Select the required measurement set with u or d.
