Warning
Danger of poisoning Coolant is poisonous and a health hazard.
– Coolant must not come into contact with the skin, eyes, or clothing. If contact occurs with the eyes, rinse with water immedi-
ately and contact a physician. Immediately clean contaminated areas on the skin with soap and water. If fuel is swallowed, con-
tact a physician immediately. Change clothing that is contaminated with coolant. Keep coolant out of reach of children.
Condition
The engine is cold.
Preparatory work
– Stand the motorcycle upright on a horizontal surface.

Main work
–
Remove radiator cap
and cap
of the compensating tank.
– Check the antifreeze in the coolant.
−25… −45 °C (−13… −49 °F)
» If the antifreeze in the coolant does not match the specified value:
– Correct the antifreeze in the coolant.
– Check the coolant level in the compensating tank.
The coolant level must be at the MIN marking.
» If the coolant in the compensating tank is not at the required level, but the tank is
not empty:
– Add coolant to the MIN marking.

– Check the cooling system for leaks.
